Look out for the special souvenir Benefit brochure, featuring contributions from the many cricketers and other personalities that David has come into contact with during his long professional career.
“In 15 years as a professional cricketer David has been just that - a model pro.”
“I have known David since I was 13 years old; we played school boy football together in Wales. He is one of the unsung heroes of sport in this country and is a reliable and consistent performer, following in good true Welsh spirit. “
David Hemp, the Glamorgan County Cricket captain, has been granted a Benefit Year in 2008.
In a career that has spanned 15 years as a capped player, 10 of which as a Glamorgan player, David has to date scored more than 20,000 first class and List A runs.
As well as touring with England in 1994/5, he most latterly has represented Bermuda – the place of his birth – at International level and featured in the 2007 ICC World Cup.
There will be many opportunities for individuals and corporate bodies alike to take part in what promises to be an exciting and action packed year.
